NEIL LAWSON CRIMINAL DEFENCE
Neil Lawson Criminal Defence is the merger of the established criminal law practices of Brendan Neil and Sarah Lawson. Our combined experience allows us to offer quality legal representation for those charged with criminal offences. We bring experience in adult, youth, and mental health matters.
We know that being charged with an offence can be an extremely stressful time. Together we can work with you to reduce the stress and work towards the best outcomes for your unique situation. It is extremely important that you know your rights and get advice from a lawyer as soon as possible.
If you have been charged, call us at 905-338-0756 for a free telephone consultation.
We have two offices, one located directly across the street from the Milton courthouse at 476 Steeles Avenue East, Milton, Ontario, and our second office located just across the street from the Hamilton John Sopinka courthouse at 909 - 20 Hughson Street South, Hamilton, Ontario.
We pride ourselves on regular communication and sharing of information with our clients, therefore we provide our clients with access to all of our contact information, as criminal law does not respect traditional business hours.
In any legal matter, it is important that you are kept up-to-date at all stages to make informed decisions along the way. To this effect, we provide advice in a timely and direct manner. By listening to your needs and incorporating them into the case strategy, we are able to more effectively represent your legal interests. It is important for you to remember that while we will give you advice, and sometimes recommend that you take a certain path, you are the decision maker. Our role is to work with you, understand your needs and goals, and then advocate on your behalf to ensure the best possible outcome.
It is very important that you feel comfortable with your lawyer and that you are able to talk freely with whoever represents you. Our role is to help you get through the criminal justice system and to guide you along the way. In order to achieve this, it is important that we treat each other with respect and dignity. At the end of our first meeting, we will ask you if you feel comfortable with us and our approach. It is important that you bring up any concerns that you may have at the earliest time possible. We feel so strongly about this that if you do not feel comfortable our approach, then you should not hire us.
